'Quiet Moments'
 

Whether it’s setting foot on a sunny beach covered in warm pebbles for the first time in my life. Or painting two pears on a fresh T-Towel for the sheer joy of returning to still life after so long. I found a gentle, quiet beauty in creating every one of these works as I slowed down my process of applying paint to canvas.
 

As a result, the paintings feel softer and have a “thereness” that I love. As if I could reach in and physically touch that stretch of water, or hold that ripe tomato.
 

This year has taught me to live more in the moment and find the beauty in everyday things, every day. I’ve also learned that the process of painting is more important for me than the outcome. When I paint, I find time disappears. The process itself is the gift. 
 

A percentage of the proceeds from every sale will be donated to The CanToo Foundation in memory of two wonderful women who inspired me to extract the joy and beauty from every moment.
