Sunset over Villefranche-sur-me

For our first night in Nice I’d booked what I thought would be a gentle sunset sail (the slow kind with wine and cheese). Well, it turned out to be a jetboat tour. After an hour the young skipper finally stopped flying around at breakneck speed and we moored just off Villefranche-sur-mer to swim, get that glass of wine, and enjoy an unforgettable sunset. The Lighthouse had not yet come on, but there was a little trail of red lights down the side of it reflecting in the water.
