Moonlight over the Mediterranean, Nice

This moon was hanging in the night sky, on a warm, clear evening - our last one in France.  The really curious thing was that the sky was a deep purple. Not like the inky blue night skies we get down here. The moon was breaking through the clouds. It all felt pretty magical. This is the first time I’ve ever painted the moon. Not sure why I’ve waited until now. But that’s travel. It changes things
